This project consisted in the widening of several intersections at the taxiway. This expansion was needed in order to meet the operational requirements of new and larger aircrafts. Additionally, two high speed exits in a runway were built. The project included concrete pavement repair (or spall repair) in all taxiways and runways at the airport. The concrete pavement repairs were done between 10pm and 6am, when air traffic was minimum, in order to avoid disruption in normal airport operation. A volumetric concrete mixer was used for the spall repair. Its portability permitted mixing the high early strength concrete on site increasing productivity and exceeding the minimum technical requirements of the concrete.
